REPORT ON YOUTUBE

How to report on YouTube:

To report a video, a comment, or a channel, you must be logged in to a YouTube account.

  • A Video:
    1. When viewing videos in a list, click or tap the three dots next to the title.
    2. To report from the video player:
      On desktop, the three dots will appear below the video;
      In a mobile web browser, there will be a flag below the video;
      In the app, the three dots will appear on the upper right corner once you tap the video.
    3. Select “Report.”
    4. Select the reason for your report and click or tap “Report.”

  • A Comment:
    1. On desktop, hover over the comment with your cursor and click on the three dots that will appear on the top right of the comment.
      Click or tap the three dots next to the comment (app) or tap the comment (mobile web browser).
    2. Select “Report.”
    3. Select the reason for your report and click or tap “Report.”

  • A Channel: You can only report a user’s channel on desktop.
    1. On the channel’s page, go to the “About” section.
    2. Click on the flag icon under “Stats” and select “Report channel art,” “Report profile picture,” or “Report user” depending on the user’s offense.
    3. Select the reason for your report and click or tap “Report.”
